CCR Training Curriculum
Liberty CCR Training Levels
The Liberty CCR training program consists of several progressive levels designed to systematically build the diver’s knowledge, skills, and confidence for advanced and technical rebreather diving.
• CCR Mod 1 – Entry-level Liberty CCR course focused on safe operation using air or nitrox as diluent up to 40 m / 130 ft.
• CCR Mod 2 – Extends depth and gas management using normoxic trimix and multiple bailout gases up to 60 m / 200 ft.
• CCR Mod 3 – The highest level of Liberty CCR training, qualifying divers to conduct deep trimix dives beyond 100 m / 330 ft using hypoxic mixtures and multiple decompression gases.
• CCR Cave Diver – Application of Liberty CCR skills in overhead environments, focusing on gas planning, navigation, and emergency procedures in caves.
• CCR Liberty Crossover – Designed for certified CCR divers transitioning to the Divesoft Liberty unit. Covers unit configuration and assembly, full operation, and all safety procedures; certifies at Mod 1 level.
Note: All Liberty CCR courses offered by us are taught under the IANTD agency and its training standards and can be conducted in either backmount or sidemount configuration.

CCR Cave Upgrade
Introduction
The IANTD CCR Cave Diver Upgrade program is designed for already certified cave divers on open circuit with a minimum of Full Cave Diver certification who wish to transition to the safe use of the Closed Circuit Rebreather in the overhead environment. The course focuses on applying CCR techniques to cave diving, emphasizing safety, awareness, and efficient team procedures. Divers will develop the skills to plan and conduct CCR cave dives, manage the loop and buoyancy in confined spaces, plan sufficient bailout gas reserves for safe exits, and respond effectively to emergencies and failures while maintaining precise navigation and communication throughout the dive.
What Will You Learn
• configuration and setup of your CCR unit for cave diving
• planning and conducting CCR dives in overhead environments with sufficient gas reserves
• effective control of loop volume, buoyancy, trim, and PO₂ in confined areas
• emergency procedures on CCR including zero visibility, lost line, lost diver, and gas-sharing scenarios
• team diving protocols, communication, and good situational awareness
• unconscious diver lift techniques
Course Requirements
• minimum 18 years old

CCR Liberty Crossover
Introduction
The IANTD CCR Liberty Crossover is intended for already certified closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) divers who wish to extend their qualification to include the Liberty CCR unit. The program provides complete training in the Divesoft Liberty system, including configuration, use of the Divesoft App software, maintenance, and emergency procedures. The goal of the course is to teach divers to safely and efficiently operate all functions of the Liberty CCR, plan dives, and properly manage the system in either backmount or sidemount configuration.
The crossover represents training up to the Mod 1 (Advanced EANx Diver) level. Upon successful completion, the diver receives a CCR Liberty Mod 1 certification, even if holding a higher qualification (such as Mod 2 or Mod 3) on another CCR unit. After completion of this crossover, divers are authorized to use the Liberty CCR for all types of dives corresponding to their existing CCR certification levels — including Mod 2 and Mod 3 dives, provided they already hold those qualifications on a different rebreather system.
